Is
America in turmoil?
President Trump has a limited filter.
His twitter “war” (which could lead to a nuclear war). Trump calls North
Korea’s leader Kim Jung Un a “madman”. In response Un calls trump a “dotard”
which is “a person, especially an old person, exhibiting a decline in mental faculties; a weak-minded or foolish person.” According to dictionary.com. America would be better off if everyone just went with our commander in chief. People
may not agree or like what Trump does or says but he is still our president.
When the people of the United States go against Trump that is when we could
have problems, because there is no greater enemy than yourself. For example the
greatest casualties for the United States is not World War 1 or World War 2 it
is the Civil war.
With recent events form trump on the
taking a knee during the national anthem trump says “wouldn’t you love to see
one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say get that
son of a B---- off the field right now he’s fired.” These are strong word from
our president whether I agree or not should not matter he is the president and
I should back him. I’m not telling the owners of their NFL teams what to do.
But if I owned a NFL team I would have a talk with my general manger and he
would have a talk with the players. If the players still did not comply I would
take another step fine them. If that still doesn’t work suspend them. If It
does go that far as terminating the contract I would not dispute, because if it
gets that far it’s no longer just about the flag. It is now a matter of you
coach and general manager told you to do something. They are your bosses and
whether you like it you have to do what they say.
Trumps view on the Golden State
Warriors and Stephen Curry when an invitation was given to go to the white
house. Trump says on twitter “going to the white house is considered a great
honor for a champion team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore the
invitation is withdrawn!” The use of the strong punctuation is supposed to be
perceived as an emotional connection. In response LeBron James tweeted “you
bum@StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite.
Going to the white house used to be a great honor until you showed up!
Good on you for tackling a social, political issue! And good on you for bringing so many conversations to light! At some point, we will need to discuss the NFL situation because that entire conversation is about argumentation: how do we express our ideas in ways that speak clearly and invite healthy debate? It's a fantastic time to be an American as so many crazy things are up in the air. Cheers for not being afraid of taking that on, Adam.
ReplyDeleteI respectfully disagree with you, Sir. Standing behind a president that has shown a lack of respect for others and is loose at that lips is not a man I want to stand behind. I don't care if he is the president. Now if he were Jesus, then I would be right there holding the inside of your pocket. Now, on the other hand, I believe everyone should stand for the National Anthem. It shows disrespect to our past, current and future soldiers that have or will fight for this country. Stand up for God sake and show some respect!
ReplyDeletethat is your right as an american to disagree with me. as stated in the first amendment in the Constitution. but also it is their right to freedom of speech and the right to a peaceful protest. the first amendment.
